Elixir for Nourishing Joints, Bones, Skin, and Gut

Drink your medicine! Here's a fast, easy recipe for super delicious nourishment for your skin, gut, joints, and bones.

Try this comfort-in-a-cup. Anti-inflammatory spices are added to a bone broth, making this one of the most nutrient-dense, healing elixirs in my arsenal.

Ingredients
  • 8 cups bone broth
  • 2 tbsp fresh grated ginger root
  • 2 tbsp fresh grated turmeric root  I prefer the flavor of fresh, but you could use turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper Research suggests it increases the potency of the turmeric by a LOT
  • 1 cup coconut milk Makes the turmeric much more bioavailable, plus it's a healthy fat
  • sometimes I simmer with a piece of lemongrass 'cuz yum, and also for the anti-viral properties 

Instructions
  1. While heating the bone broth in a pot grate in the ginger and turmeric.
  2. Add the pepper and coconut milk.
  3. Cover the pot and simmer for at least twenty minutes.
  4. Play with the quantities until you find how you like it best. It's loaded with anti-inflammatory properties, esp if you use a lot of turmeric and ginger so don't be shy with those ingredients!
  5. Enjoy!
